In this blog, We are going to Enable Verbose Logging For QuickBooks Web Connector.
By enabling the Verbose logging, the developer can able to see more detailed log messages when a Quickbook application connects and it will show/log the QBXML request being sent into QuickBooks desktop.
The log will show you both requests and responses of the QBXML, which was sent between QuickBooks and the QBWC server.
Below are the steps to enable/turn on verbose logging
1. Go to the start menu and search for the word “RUN” and select run command OR you can press Windows Key + R to open the run command.
2. Then type “regedit” in the run command and press the “OK” button. It will open the registry editor.
3. From registry editor you can navigate/find to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Intuit. Then click on the “QBWebConnector” folder. Here we have to change the “Level” key. Right-click on “Level” and select “Modify…”. it will open the dialog box.
4. Now change the “Value data:” field to “VERBOSE” from “DEBUG” then click the “OK” button.
The log file for QBWC may be found at: C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QBWebConnector\log\QWCLog.txt”
This Log file will help you to debug and find bugs/errors as it will contain all requests and response QBXML.
